2000 Taurus Antenna Replacement

Trying to remove a broken non-power antenna. It was broke off near the base. I assume there is a nut holding it in from below, however there is a metal panel blocking access to where the antenna comes through from above. You cannot really see behind the panel. Online searches have not given me a clear enough description of how to get it out, usually they are talking about power antennas.

Re: 2000 Taurus Antenna Replacement

I haven't seen a non powered antenna but the powered ones have 2 bolts in the panel in the trunk, holding the antenna in. Is there a nut on the mast outside? If you remove it and see if there are bolts inside for it.
