hey guys need a little help locating where this thing connects to
its a 2000 taurus flex fuel engine
story goes, car was running fine, went in the house, came back three hours later and it started its problem. it will crank, idle real high for an instant, then stall out. i found the egr vacuum solenoid to be literally busted, looked like it exploded or melted <we think it fell off its bracket and touched the engine>
so i replace it, didnt fix the problem, i start looking around and find a rubber pipe disconnected from something i dont know what it is at this moment. i followed the line back to what i identified as the canister purge solenoid. my question is, does anyone know where this line leads to, there are of course two lines going off of it. my other question is, could this be causing the problem that is going on now, or am i just wasting my time trying to fix this and should just sell it on craigslist for parts
