My 2000 Taurus is developing a problem on startup with not wanting to idle. When this happens if you leave your foot off the gas pedal the car will try to start but will not. Sometimes if you press the gas pedal in and restart all is well and it starts fine. It is progressing to the point that you have to keep your foot on the gas pedal to keep it running. One time as I sat in the driveway trying to keep it running something "clicked" and all of a sudden a normal idle speed appeared. The problem seems to be progressing to where I have to keep my foot onthe gas pedal all the time at stops to keep it running. No engine lights of any kind are showing up. Your help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
