Good Morning All,

During the cold months of winter my car surges really bad untill it warms up, which only really affects the car on that first start of the day.( FYI, I live in Miami, so my cold days are more like windy warm days...)

Now after the car has warmed up, if im at idle at a light, the car surges even worse then before and when I try to accelerate the car, the car would not move for 2-3 seconds, but jolt out afterward as if I popped the clutch.....When it jolts, the rpm are well over 3k rpms.....
Ive had a check engine light on for O2 sensors, but nothing else.

Also there is a burning smell of oil or transmission fluid after I turn off the car...

Could check there are no vacuum pipes / breather hoses off or cracked / drawing air .

That's right, there have been problems with the vacuum hoses at the PCV. Also clean the MAF with MAF cleaner.

Since i've own the car i've never had an issue with the vaccum hoses but its definetly where Im going to start. Thanks to you both.........

The one on the PCV gets oil vapors, causing it to deteriorate.

How bout a bad/faulty IAC? Or wiring perhaps?

I do agree, the PCV should be changed at least once a year with regular mileage to be safe. It's only a few bucks and a minute of work....
