Hi guys its me once again!I need a good advice if possible i bought this car 3 weeks ago with 76000 thousand miles on it i have done a couple of things to it because it was a grandmas car. Well after thinking on typical ford problems i decided to go to jiffy lube and get the tranny flushed and they replaced the fluid left the place with a great shifting tranny like it was now two days later i was along i-4 at about 75-80mph rpms normal at about 25-3000 and all of the sudden tranny started slipping taking rpms to 45-5000 and shifting eratically from gears to gears and the trans warnig light started blinking i stoped and checked my fluid level and it is full.So as a very concerned Ford lover what should i do it was normal preventive maintanance what i did something good for this make and model of car?Any help will be strongly apreciated.

hmmmmmm......when you checked the fluid was it over the full indicator on the stick? I know when you put too much fluid in the tranny it can make it do that. Also, sometimes when places like that put the tranny filter back in it will fall out of the holder......if they did put the filter back in. I would take it back to the Lube place and let them know whats going on with it as soon as you can. This way if its anything major they can get it fixed. I dont think its major but it can lead to major things if it goes unfixed.

Well actually the didnt do nothing with the filter it was a back flush i went back but they said that the fluid is in the correct level ok but the problem is it doesent shift to 4th gear.Any advice will be apreciated.

Are you sure its 4th gear and not overdrive? If its 4th gear then y got some problems. It might be the trans sensor then.

hey guys well finally i am getting my car back after 9 days of hazzle,Ok well had to get a whole tranny for my car they didnt tell me exacly what went wrong but just installed different tranny.So i hope this doesent happen again to soon.Hey guys if there is any special mantanance for this tranny please let me know but i dont think i would change fluid anymore. THANKS GUYS.
