2001 taurus all sorts of issues
Hello I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SE. About a year ago we were told that our air-conditioner compressor was going out, I believe it was the compressor they told us the bearings would break our belt.. They said that it was A must that we get it replaced so we did. Shortly after getting that compressor replaced we noticed an anti-freeze leak, We've ignored leak for the most part because it seemed to be harmless and was not very large, plus the cost of getting it fixed last time still had us set back. Recently the car has had some trouble running, It was suggested that our fuel filter was dirty so I replaced that myself as well as ran some Lucas Injector cleaner through it. The issue seem to disappeared until yesterday when it wouldn't start at all, Once I got it started this morning and was able to leave about five minutes into the drive it started overheating. I'm not sure if any of the issues mentioned above are related to each other but I want all of them on the table. Understandably with overheating I need to take this leak seriously now, but what else could be My issue?
Is there a way to test the thermostat to see if that might be an issue?
