My wife (it's always the wife!!) bounced my car off a curb. Cracked the rim, new tire, new lower 'A' frame, had to get the under carriage straighted.

There is a growl?? and a vibration trough the steering at about 73 mph that goes away when coasting. If you are cruising or acelerating it is real bad at 73 through about 77 mph. On deacceleration there is nothing. Is it possible the the axel shaft is bent?

With a jolt like that it's very possible the axle is bent or damaged in the outer joint. I'd replace the axle.

Why are you doing 77 M.P.H. ? Was the car repaired at a proper shop with all tools and
measurements ? Was it sent to a frame shop ? " under Carriage " do you mean sub frame ? Did it have a 4 wheel alignment ? Unless you actually landed on the axle you will
never bend it. Send it back to who ever tried to fix it. With that amount of damage your
car might be a right off. Is the sub frame straight to the body ? did the body bend ?
What your telling me is the transmission could be out of alignment to the inboard C.V.

one thing i forgot. Are any of the mounts broken ? Motor or transmission.

how bout the hub bearing? was that replaced?
