2001 Taurus overheating...
ok here is the deal...
this AM driving to work my car starts overheating, the only way to stop it is to shut it off and wait (took me 30+ minutes to get home 1-2 miles).
now my heater was also not working.
my fiancee' works at an auto shop as a manager and her guys said it was most likely a water pump.
she thought heater core (I'm a jock, I don't do cars well)... who knows
when the water pump goes, what happens... leakage? no heat? overheating? etc.. this is my first potential water pump issue, ever, so I honestly don't know.
and how easy is this to fix, because I will probably do it myself. I follow directions well and have fixed a few problems on my car myself, with books, without knowing too much about them.
