2001 Taurus SES in-dash cd changer??? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I just bought a 2001 Taurus SES and I believe it has an in-dash cd changer. When I go to load a second cd the unit says NO DJ. Could anyone tell me what this is? Or do I in fact not have a changer??? Thanks

Cd changers in Taurus' are in the trunk on left side by antenna. It is a black box that cover opens and cartridge/magazine:driver ejects out of it. The radio just controls it.

The in dash CD player holds only one disc. It may or may not have a 6 CD changer in the trunk. My Taurus has just the single player in the dash.

Some later models had the changer inside of the full console of five passenger cars (Floor Shift). On six passenger cars (Column shift) it is in the trunk. NO DJ means there is no changer or it may not be plugged in.
