so i went today and looked at a 2002 taurus with only 67000 miles on it! took it for a ride didnt overheat or anything heat worked air conditioning worked car hadnt been ran for a little while did get into some rough terrain a little bit but i put the car in park and was looking around we smelled a coolant smell looked under and toward the front passenger side coolant leaked out and made a little puddle then stopped after a few seconds and never did it again mechanic is where i was at they said maybe it was overfilled or had a air bubble in it from not being driver car never did overheat neither im suppose to go tomorrow morning to decide if im getting it or not could it be a big problem even though it didnt happen nomore? could it have just been something dumb like that? checkedafter we got back to the car lot and nothing also no smell it all happened in about 5 mins and that was that

It would be a good idea to have it pressure checked, cold and hot. With aluminum parts, they can expand and seal a small leak if it's in some locations. They're usually nothing major but something like a water pump would cost some money. Not like a major engine job.

Cross your fingers that it IS NOT THE TIMING COVER GASKET!!! I personally know the pain with my Vulcan.
