hello all, i am new to the group, and i hope someone can help me. when i'm driving in cold weather, or when the car hasn't warmed up yet, the brake light comes on, regardless if i even press the brake pedal. the light only stays on a few seconds, and after the car has been driving for a while that day, the light doesn't come on at all. should this be a concern?

Brake light switch is mounted to the brake pedal. It may be loose or faulty.

Hello and goood day:

Have you checked your Brake Fluid Reservoir lately?? Your Fluids may be low, and could be causing the sensor to come on.

In the colder area's...(like Green Bay WI) the Fluids settle fast, and as the car warms up they appear OK. Check them when the car has been sitting for a while.

Are you talking about the brake light on the dash or the rear of the vehicle?
