2003 Taurus Help!! - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

We have a 2003 taurus, it went into service last week, b/c the blower went out, and the airbag light would come on and stay on and at the same time, it would take the turn signals out. When I picked up the car, they said they checked the airbag system and everything was fine.. Light never came on for them. A week later, and I'm out driving the car and the airbag light comes on again, and my turn signals go out. Any ideas what is causing this? I want to sound intelligent when I call the dealership on Monday.

trade it in as these problems will go on forever the list of faults is endless, sorry not to upset you but this is genuine advice

Hey reece1- bad advice. If the problem is repeating than your dealer should not charge you any more labor if they didn't find anything. Good luck. Just a guess but this sort of sounds like an ignition switch issue.

bad advice from you these are lemons and i am not trying to upset anyone who owns them, but it is true the issues these cars have are ridiculous and there is no shortage of problems either. i will start a thread and we will see them come out of the woodwork if you want honest

Granted, all cars have problems. The Taurus has had a fair share of them. I think I will chime in on that other thread.

Speaking from a dealership standpoint: bring it back to them. sounds like it might be water leak of somesort. taurus's will have water leaks sometimes. the other people posting here that are saying trade it in and just putting it down can't understand what it's like to buy a car themselves. it's just not that easy.

beautiful007 - Your problem is probably a leaky cowel that is letting water into the AC and ventilation system. There is a TSB out for this. I got my 02 Sable fixed for no charge even after it was off the warranty.

It would be nice if I could find something on the TSB for this one. My new to me 05 Taurus has been in my custody for 3 days since I bought it.

We had fairly heavy rain last night, and I got in the car this morning to a substantial puddle in the front passenger footwell.
