I have a 2005 Taurus that started flashing airbag code 19.
Searching the internet mostly finds the code means the "crash memory full" or something similar but this makes no sense as there has been no airbag deployment.
I found a thread on this forum that indicates code 19 means "driver airbag failure"
This is possible as I recently performed a heater core replacement which required removal of the dash and steering column. Everything went back together fine and there were no airbag codes except for code 18 which turned out to be the one connector I forgot to plug back in when I was done.
Now, about a month after the repair, code 19 is flashing. Could this be related to the repair?

No, code 19 (OBD II code B2293-19) is Driver Front Airbag Circuit Failure. You may need the clockspring under the steering wheel.

Hi,

If it is the clockspring see my airbag related thread here - go to post #29 where i explain how i walk around it. but maybe you you wont have a problem getting a new clockspring for your model.
