Looking for suggestions on ProStop (pep boys) vs duralast (autozone) vs wearever (Advanced) front break pads for my 2005 sable.

Any thoughts?

I've used Duralast in the past with pretty fair results. I use and recommend Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramic pads.

ProStop, Duralast, and Wearever are all private label brands for PepBoys, Autozone, and Advance Auto Parts. So they're really not "Brands" per say. You don't know who made them. Plus, each of these "brands" offers 3 (good, better, best) quality levels, so you can't just go by the store brand. Advance, for example, makes a silver and gold level. Rather than try to guess who made them and what you're getting for your money, I recommend you just buy the top level of a major brand like Wagner, Raybestos, Centric, EBC, etc. Wagner ThermoQuiet is an excellent ceramic pad. I've used them many times with excellent results. But whichever pad you buy, make sure you install a premium rotor. Read this post on rotors
