I was randomly surfing for something else and came across this site: The Ford Ranger 3.0L Vulcan V-6

Now, it pertains more toward the Ranger, but the engine components are identical for the 3.0L 2V V6 last I checked for us Taurus owners. Obviously the Ranger has more room under the hood so some external engine mods won't be applicable in this case, but nonetheless it's a good read on what you COULD do! It also shows engine specs for different years, etc.

A 3.0L Vulcan stroker kit... uh huh...as if!:
