Can anyone tell me how to remove the power steering pump in my 89 mercury sable?

To remove the power steering pump first remove the belt. On a 3.0L the belt for the power steering has an automatic tensioner which is only accessible after removing the alt. belt. On a 3.8L you have one acc. drive belt which also has an automatic tensioner. Remove the washer/coolant tank. Remove the pulley from the pump with a power steering pulley puller. Remove the lines. Remove the bolts holding the pump to the bracket and remove the pump. To install, reverse the procedure. To reinstall the pulley you need a pulley installer. Good Luck!!!
