I have a 92 Ford Taurus 3.8. Something is pulling the battery down and making the car run bad. At the battery the Pos\Neg terminal had continuity. After disconnecting a few fuses. I found that the #8 fuse was the one.
It fuses the radio, clock, power mirrors, dome light and cigarette lighter.
It's not blowing a fuse, but pulling the battery down and running bad. After #8 fuse was removed it holds a charge and runs great.
My question is, What could be shorted?

Does the stereo have a factory amp installed? Those were known to draw power, but I am not sure if they had amps in 1992 models.

if you have messed with anything in the stereo check the ground and to check the hood lamp too. usually with those miknd of problems it the ground
