'93 Mercury Sable Analog to Digital instrument cluster

Can I just swap those? Will a digital unit work where there was previously a analog one, or are wiring, connectors and/or sensors different?

Same question as to A/C control unit manual and automatic..

I don't know about the EATC mod but here's how it's done in a Crown Vic. Ford EATC (Electronic Automatic Temperature Control) Retrofit
