My sable will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, cap and rotor. If you put some fuel in the intake manifold the car will start and run fine but as soon as you turn if off it will not restart. If you put fuel in the intake again it will again start. Any help would be great.

Vacuum leak? A real bad one?

Sounds like its getting no fuel. I'd check the fuel pump relay. Can you hear the fuel pump energize when the key is turned slowly? Also check the inertia switch in the trunk.

Thanks for the advice catskinner. Some friends of mine think the same thing. I going to trace the vaccum lines and check for leaks.

Rainbeer, I do hear the fuel pump when the key is turned to the on position. I also changed the the fuel relay. The inertia switch was not tripped. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out!!

unless i miss my guess that car is not a " crank fire " It has no crank sensor or no cam
sensor. It has a distributor. Sounds like you are not getting the one second prime squirt form the injectors. That is controlled by the computer. When the engine starts after you
prime it the computer sees tach pulse. Turns the injectors back on. If it runs as you say after you prime it that tells me there is nothing wrong with your injectors. I'd say you have an electrical problem in the first one second of start up. Prime. Which was the choke back in the good old days.

Hi, I am trying to replace crank sensor but I can't find that sucker for the life of me. Do you know where it is exactly. I checked autozone site and looked where is said and it is just not visible.
