Our 93 taurus wagon was rear endend and insurance will delclare totaled.
93 taurus wagon with only 78k miles (runs like new), won't start after being rear ended. Rear bumper may be the only problem besides no starting. Is it possible the fuel pump is the problem and how much would it cost to repair?

The book value is only $500 and we can't replace the car for that amount.

The fuel inertia switch is probably popped and that turns the fuel pump off. Look in your owners manual for the location. When the car is hit, it pops and pushing the button back in is all it takes to work again. I think it's in the right rear area.

I haven't seen the car yet, unfortunately it's about 35 miles from home. I have a 96 taurus wagon and there is a fuel pump switch inside above the right rear tire. I couldn't recall if the 93 had the same setup.

Pretty much the same. My wife had a 94 wagon that I sold and she wishes she had it back. It was her favorite car and she's had many.

I'm not sure, but switch is beyoung the rear sofaб on the right pass. side of the cargo area. , hidden with panel. Press small square button....

Could also be a red round button.
