HI all 93 Taurus with a 3.8 . It is running hot the fan works and a new thermostat was just put in. It seems as though nothing is flowing through the top rad. hose. The car also has no heat it blows cold air. It is not losing any coolant. The cooling system may be plugged, I don't know? Any ideas???

Was the thermostat installed backwards?

It was in correctly. I'm thinking head gasket???

Check the Water pump. Did anything change sence the thremostat change? When you get no heat fromm the heater and the engine is hot usually there is no water in the heater core. make sure that you get the air out of the rad. Are you sure that the engine is hot, gauge may not be working.
