93 Taurus - Serpentine Belt Idler Pulley
1993 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan - I recently replaced the power steering pump. and while at it the idler pulley, all turned by the one serpentine belt. When I bought the pulley it came as just a pulley with no attaching hardware.
The existing pulley has a bolt through it, and a "washer" or retainer that the bolt threads through. After assembling, I've noted that the retainer seems to have rotated a bit, causing it to rub against the face of the bearing in the pulley.
So, how do you properly resecure this particular retainer? It's purpose seems to be to stay in one fixed location on the bolt to allow clearance so that the pulley can rotate properly.
Any information around on how to service this pulley assembly, and refasten the retainer/washer?
Thanks in advance!
