94 SHO Electronic heater problems, possible break-in?
I just bought a 94 SHO and it has some electronic problems. Door ajar light stays on, check engine flashes, air bag light flashes, etc. The strangest thing of all is the heater/ac system. It is fully electronic and it "shorts out" every time I hit the gas. Put the brakes on and it comes on, hit the gas and it shorts out and goes off. I am clueless as to what this problem could be, but there is evidence that the car has been broken into and possibly almost stolen. There are some unknown relays/wires hanging by the gas pedal and the keyless entry does not work. Also the ignition tumbler does not exactly line up with the plastic piece around the tumbler and you can turn it to the aux. position with no key in it...
Any suggestions would be helpful before I take the whole dash apart to try and track down a bad ground or something.
