I have a very interesting problem & I'm needing some help. Today I went to start my car & I got nothing...I just bought a brand new battery 2 days ago, thats not it. I tested the Alternator & thats doing fine. Tested the starter, thats fine. My dad came to put another battery in my car to get me home & started right up. Came home & put my new battery back in & tested it, works fine. So there is something that is blocking/stopping my car from starting sporatically. It seems like the next time this happens I will have to disconnect the terminals from the battery for 5 minutes & try to start it because my battery is not the problem. Is there something causing a ground or blockage enough to not start my car. I also have a brand new ECM in the car also, so I don't see it being that. Anything would be so greatful. Also, just to add. I got in a minor fender bender 2 weeks ago. Just enough to replace the bumper itself. Before the accident...my airbag light would always flash while driving & still does including after the accident. Should I replace the "blue box" under my glove box (maybe there is something in the box that is telling my car not to start at times)...I don't know what the box is called, I think its the airbag simulator or something. But should I go replace that first thing including that my airbag didn't deploy during the accident given I hit someone going about 20-35 mph. Thanks again.

Common Problem on thses-the solenoid trigger wire connector (The small wire going to starter) gets corrosion on it and cause intermitent starting. If this happens again have someone hold the ignition switch in the start postion while you wiggle the solenoid trigger wire and connector. If the starter then works at all then the solenoid trigger wire connector is bad. There is a repair kit from Ford to replace the connector. As far as your flashing airbag light this indicates there is a problem with the system. Count the number of flashes for the code number. Good luck!!!
