confused 95 Sable 3.0 Stalling Problem

I am trying to help my mother out with her issue. She has a 1995 Sable GL 3.0 that will stall when cruise control is used. This issue first reared its ugly head on a road trip from Central Illinois to Detroit. She was using the cruise on the highway, and the car just lost power and died, then would not restart. She had it towed to a garage, and there it started up just fine. The mechanic at the garage could find nothing wrong with it. Around that time, someone (I forget who) asked her if she had been using her cruise control, and if so, not to. On the return trip, she didn't use cruise, and had no problems. Could this be a fuel pressure issue related to the cruise control? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: 95 Sable 3.0 Stalling Problem

If the speed control is vacuum operated it may be an issue.

If it's the electronic type I would think it was just a coincidence.

It appears as the Sable does have the vacuum operated speed control. So there must be something that is causing a major vacuum leak when it is in use.
