Hey, gang. My mom has a 95 Sable with the usual 3.0L engine. Yesterday, she went to start it, and it just clicked. Nothing else happened. All the lights and door chimes worked fine, but I still had the battery checked anyway. As I (okay, as my wife) expected, the battery was fine. This leaves me thinking possibly the starter. Here is my question: Does this car have a separate starter relay that I can possibly check? I haven't been able to find any information about it, and I don't see one mounted to the fender wall. If anyone can offer some assistance, I would be grateful. Thanks in advance.

If you're hearing a click noise when turning the key to start, then this proves out the relay. I can't remember where it is on a 95 Sable, but it's not on the left inner fender as in the past. If it just clicks the make sure the heavy red lead is tight on the starter. If it is, and there's 12V on the lead at all times then you have a bad starter. While someone is holding the key in start position tap starter with a hammer. It should crank now. Needs a starter.
