there's been a problem with the engine cooling fan that has been taken care of, but it's still not quite right...the engine temp guage on the dash shows the engine getting hotter than it probably should. so far, i have not let this car over-heat. the cooling fan assembly was just replaced and is working. what would make the engine run hotter than it should...that is, the temp guage is passing the mid-mark and headed for "hot". is it possible that the thermostat also needs to be replaced? if so, what temp thermostat should i put it in...it's a 3.8 liter engine. or is it possible that since it's summer and days are very hot (90s to 100s) and traffic exhaust makes it hotter, that the car will simply run hotter? today when the temp guage went past the mid-mark, i turned on the ac just to activate to engine cooling fan, and that brought the temp down. with aluminum heads, i can't risk over-heating.
