Hi all, The key insert, starts, turns off and removes o.k. in most cases. The problem is that the black wing thingy that should stay in the off position with the key out sometimes does not. So if it's rotated to the accessorry position you can't insert the key, until you move it to the off position.

What needs to be replaced if anything? Does it require special tools? Is it a tough job? I checked the chiltons manual and did not find a thing.

It needs a new cylinder. I took mine to a locksmith, bought the cylinder then had it re-keyed to the original key. Changed it out in the lot. $20
