I've been trying to program a new remote on a 95 Taurus, I've read on how the connector is in the left rear quarter panel & the pins need to be jumpered out. Everything I've read indicates that this plug should have 2 connectors, however when looking inside this plug, I see 3. The plug I'm trying to jumper is a grey looking thing. i hope it's the right one, it's attached to the rear fender. I've tried to jump all three but have had no success. I'm at the point where I'm going to cut the plug off & try to jump all wires. Any suggestions? If necessary, I will attach picture.

The vehicle may not have been equipped with this feature unless you can find the jumper in the left-rear trunk or behind the glove-box.
