I ran out of gas and now it take 15 to 20 hard start to get it to iddle after its iddling good I cant pus the gas pedal if I try to bring r.p.m. to 2000 it will kill the motor and again iddle ok.Anyone have a idea of my problem.thank you.

Sound, like water bloked fuel filters. Easy way for chek it:
Slowly add to gastank two bottles of DrayGas (fuel level - any).
Open ignition twice. Do not start the engine.
Leave the car at night.On the morning open ignition 5 - 10 tims, start the engine, and let it works a few minutes.
If you feel the difference, then turn off the engine, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. This is necessary to retrain computers fuel memory.

Maybe when you ran out of gas, the pump picked up some dirt or the filter is clogged. Try changing the filter first, but it may need a new fuel pump.

My vote is with Johnny's diagnosis. You sucked some crud up into the sock filter in the tank and it got into the pump. Water in the gas would kill your idle. When you can't get it up to 2,000RPM, that's a sign that the pump isn't putting out full volume.
