96 Taurus GL 3.0 duratec AXODE Trans
In my previous post I gave more history.
My question is does anyone know why the transmission would only
leak if the car is driven aggressive manor. I will explain what I mean.
If I am careful and take off from stops very slowly and never accelerate
say over 3000 rpm. no apparent fluid leakage. On the other hand should
I drive the normal way accelerate to my desired speed using say half
pedal there will be a trail of fluid until I am stopped. If I let the car
sit for a few hours and accelerate slowly there will not be a trail of
fluid.
Since this transmission was rebuilt 300 miles ago and the WARRANTY
EXPIRED 6 month ago does anyone know or heard of a problem with any
other AXODE TYPE transmissions. I will be taking it to a transmission shop
soon and would like to be able to know more about other problem people
have had. I have had 3 Taurus's all SHO models and never had this type of
problem. My experiences have involved 1 car fire (totaled) and radiator
leakage issues.
