I have a 1997 ford taurus, the washers only works when you have the wipers turned on high speed. What can I do to fix the problem.

Could be a faulty turn signal wiper switch stalk .

Most of the time this is caused by the wiper switch. The hazard switch is on top of the wiper switch and dust or dirt or sand got into the switch and could cause malfunctions. Try this first before replacing anything. Turn the wipers on low and wiggle the switch around. See if the wipers move. Furthermore, try it on the other speeds and wiggle the switch handle. If the wipers slightly move, replace the switch.
