im new to this but im willing to help anyone as much as i can just as i expect you guys to help me out! i own a 97 sho and i had a problem wit the coils i replaced 4 of them i put them in the back of the engine and kept 4 that looked in good shape but now i still think its misfiring or is it my transmission slipping? for example when i try to take off the rpms does not slip but the car jerks back like if its almost ready to stall so i ease off the gas i realized i have to accelerate slowly but as soon as im up to like 40 mphs the car screws! and shifts gears wit no problem but i do realize i lost power what can i do?

Coils are a big problem with these cars. The fronts go bad too. Look for cracks in the plastic housings on them or the boots sometimes get holes through them.


Are the cams welded?

no there not but umm do u know anybody that does it for a reasonable price

Reasonable is relative. If the cams go the car is a paperweight that will cost a couple grand to fix.
