Hi I have a 98' sable that the transmission is out in. its the v-6 dual cam 24 duratec. It has the colum shift. Now my question is the speedo sensor is on the top and I'm lookin to buy a trans but the only ones i found are on the back of it. can these interchange or trade out? Thanks for any help. Oh and the modle number of the trans is ax4n.

The speed sensor should be on the passenger end under the alternator.

well then is it a different transmission? I do not know about this the junk yard said it will work but I dont want to be out $900(stupid place has a no return polocy). So then I take it that it will probably not work??

If it isn't the same as what you have it probably will not work.
