We have a 99 ford taurus that was low on 134a. We added it in the low port and it worked good for ten minutes. Then steam started coming out from under the hood and a/c quit working. Took it to town tonight and it started over heating. What could possibly of caused this? Thanks

Hello and good day:

Lets check a few basics....

1. Can you pin-point a leak any where?
2. Check to see if you have any Heat and Defrost...


You may have a Blown Head Gasket, or a Bad Water Pump.

Please advise further.

Are the radiator fans coming on at all??? This can cause both overheating and poor A/C operation.
