I've got a 99 Taurus. The daylight headlights are going on and off. Can I just disconnect the DRL module and have lights off the dash switch? Where is the module located and when I get there is it easy to recognize?

Moved to correct forum. Is it daytime running lights or autolamps??? If it has autolamps, turn the autolamp switch all the way off. It may just be the light sensor is too sensitive. Should be under or poking through the defroster grille.

Thanks for the prompt response. There is no switch for the DRL. The headlights are on, at a lower output, untill the headlight switch is used. Then all the lights come on and the headlights get full power. During daylight the headlights would go off and back on. I was afraid someone would think I was signaling them to pull out.

I pulled the fuse in the fuse block under the hood near the radiator. As best I can tell the DRL is the only thing on the curcuit. It's a 15 AMP fuse near the front center of the fuse block. I found it by trial and error.
