Hi we are working on a 2000 taurus that the battery goes dead while driving. We replaced the battery and the alternator both brand new and thought problem fixed but no luck still same thing dies after 15 to 30 minutes or so of driving. have check all fuses and they look fine car can set for days and not go dead so no shot. any help would be great as now we can not get to work please please help. Thank you.

What is the voltage at the battery with the engine running?

Do not have a voltage meter to check it will try to get one but we just yesterday put a new alt, and Battery in it and they drove about 60 miles or more and all was fine today he went about 30 miles and died. while i try to get a tester on it what else could it be other then alt, or Battery?

having the same problems, i just put a new alternator and also battery in this week but the battery light stays on and it doesn't seem to get a charge, only thing left to check is the connections and wiring, unless these cars have some sort of voltage regulator or something, but i would think that would be part of the alternator
