battery light dim w/ key OFF sometimes

Hi everyone. I've got a 99 Sable and now and then in the morning I find the battery light glowing faintly. Hit the key on and off, it goes out. What could ba making that contact intermittently? I think it is being drained when the light is on. (Maybe from more that just the bulb). Sure like some education on this. Thanks.

Re: battery light dim w/ key OFF sometimes

Sounds like could be faulty ignition switch ? but other possible causes .Have had similar faults over the years with alternator / plug wiring connector on some cars .
