This started about a week ago. I'll hit the turn signal to turn and about half of the time the light on the dash and the bulb itself will turn on but not blink.

I can flick the switch the other way and same thing. If I do it back and forth a few times it sometimes starts to blink. And sometimes it will blind 2 or 3 times and then stick on.

WTHeck is going on?

The contacts are probably getting crudded up. Spray some electrical contact cleaner around the hazard switch button and operate it a few times. That sometimes makes them work for awhile. You'll probably need to get a new one. They are very easy to replace if you do.

Replaced the switch. Since the problem was intermittent I'll give it a week.

OK that was a waste of time and money. Nothing's changed.

Is the only other thing in this circuit the flasher?

That's why I try cleaning the contacts first to see if it helps. If not, there's somethong else wrong.The flasher is behind the fuse box. Listen for it when it IS working and you'll find it.

I took out the old switch to clean it and made the mistake of opening it up. Boom, parts all over the place which is why I put in a new one.

I guess I would like to know how many things could be wrong. Are there a myriad of things that it can be or only the flasher and switch?

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a pr*ck. Although I was pissed at myself for taking the stupid thing apart.

The only way to clean them is by spraying electrical contact cleaner down around the Hazard button like I mentioned in the first post. If they need more that that, they need to be replaced.

So I took out the flasher, opened it up, and re-soldered the connections to the coil. Seems to work although it's only been a couple hours.
