Question CD Changer

Hi, Anyone have a 2001 Taurus with a CD Changer? My car did not come equipped with a changer and I was wondering where it would be found if installed and whether or not the harness would be there anyway. Would it be a simple job to install one if the wiring were in place? Also where can I find the sticker that lists all of the option codes for the car when it was built?
Thank you

Re: CD Changer

I have a 99 and the changer would be located in the trunk, left side if equipped. I think some of the newer models had them in the console if not in the trunk. Mine had the dash controls but no player. I was able to purchase a Kenwood and an adapter from crutchfield and it worked great....Changer was $180 and the adapter for the taurus so I could use the dash controls was around $80 if I remember right...hope this helps
