Just looking for some audio tips for an '05 Taurus

To be a little more specific, I bought a cd player and install kit that Best Buy originally told me they could install. Well, I go back to have it installed today, and they tell me that the install kit won't work. On the latest kit available, the defrost button is on the right side on the panel. It is on the left side in my car, and there is a passenger side airbag indicator on the right side, where the defrost button is on the kit. They said they had problems with other Fords with similar setups, and would not be able to do it. What do I do now? I can't find an install kit anywhere for a 2005, and the factory system sucks.

I dont think they have an aftermarket kit yet for the 05 models. If anything just take the kit back to Best Buy and wait or you can always mount the new radio somewhere different. I know it sounds stupid but I have seen it done many of times due to the fact that nothing mounts the same or is compatable with the newer models.

Thanks for the info. I did indeed have to take it back, as Best Buy first said they could do it, and then backed off of that stance when I went back. Oh well, at least I had the smarts to get one with a factory player until further notice.
