Charging 92 Sable with freon
I have a 92 Sable with 3.8 liter engine. My AC is not putting out much cold. I have some Freon 12 and a simple charger. I am concerned about hooking up to the high side and getting an exploding can. However, I read where the threads on the low and high sides are different so no real chance of this if your charger has correct threads. I have used my charger on another Ford successfully so I am confident threads on charger are appropriate for low side.
I think the low side port is the port located in the front, right side next to radiator - it is right there when you open hood. Any advise would be appreciated, especially if threads for low and high ports are in fact different. Thanks.
