Correct Idle speed?

Anyone know the idle speed for a '98 Taurus SE V6 3.0L? I just bought one and it seems to idle about 900 rpm according to the dash tach. I haven't digitally tached it yet but it feels like the idles are high so I suspect the tach isn't too far off.
