Cruise Control Quit

96 Taurus here. My cruise control stopped working. I drive with that sucker and it just flat out stopped. Actually, I started riding my bicycle to work and the wife drove the car for two days and now the cruise doesn't work.

I press the ON button and the "cruise" light on the dash lights up but I can never set it. The baby won't cruise.

The fuse is OK (#6 right?). Where do I look next?

Re: Cruise Control Quit

Make sure the brake lights aren't coming on. Also fuse #28.

Re: Cruise Control Quit

I wonder if the set button on the steering wheel is the culprit? Anything spilled there lately?

Re: Cruise Control Quit

Like I said, the wife drove it, so who knows.

How would I check or change it?
