Dash lights 2003 Taurus not working.
Just bought this car for my kid
Everything seems to be working okay except the dash illumination.
(who checks that when buying?)
Cannot really locate a drawing online to help me.
All of the surrounding components that are lit up when the lights are on are working and dimming as they should, but I think maybe they are controlled by a different part of the rheostat. Pretty sure those are all LEDs and work differently than the incandescent bulbs lighting the gauge panel.
Any idea on what to be looking for----is that cluster very difficult to remove?
Before buying this thing (has been sitting a loooong time) the fuel pump has been replaced and electrically trouble shot (bad connector term at the relay) and the ECM had been replaced.
Everything else in the car works just fine now----but not the dash lamps.
