xuhao Registered User Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 1	Does 2001 Taurus SE have SOHC or DOHC? I need to change gasket for my car and want to know whether it has Single Overhead Camshaft or Dual Overhead Camshaft. Thank you!

Look at the 8th digit of the vin number located in the lower left corner of the windshield or on a sticker on the drivers door. If it's an "S" then you have DOHC. If it's an "U" or "2" it's OHV
