Engine Near Stall

My 2005 Taurus with 3.0L SOHC nearly stalls when I start it up and turn the stearing wheel tightly. It is an issue in parking lots, or in my driveway.

Is it the IAC valve? Any other possibilities? There are no engine codes set.

Re: Engine Near Stall

The PS pressure switch may be bad. it should tell the PCM to bump the engine speed a bit when it senses a higher pressure and at low road speeds.

Could also be a dirty MAF.

Re: Engine Near Stall

The engine is running a little rough early in the morning with the cooler weather here in Michigan (50F). It hasn't stalled but it is definately running at a much higher idle initially.

Once the engine is warmed up, it seems to run fine.

Is this the IAC?
