Is it worth to spend the additional $1,200 for an extended warrenty (100,000 4 yrs)for my used ford taurus wagon has now 29,000 miles?
Do they give a hard time when you need repairs? I have a tight budget and drive 25,000 miles a year

depends on how you treat the cars. I put 4k on my cars but they are put through hell and back.

1200 is a bit steep. I would shop around.

This advice may be alittle late but for me it was worth the extra $$ for the x-tended warranty. I have a 99 Taurus and it's been in the shop to have the "Check Engine Soon" checked, $100 Can. for each computer scan, and its been all sensors that have had to be replaced and the last sensor/monitor was the airbag sensor. That one would have cost me $425.00 Can. parts and labour if I did not have the X-warranty. Just be sure it's a FORD x-tended warranty and not a third party...read the fine print.
