In the mean time, use hand signals.
Driver's arm straight out + left turn.
Driver's arm out and bent up + right turn.
Driver's arm out and bent down + slowing or stopping {this is thrown in if your brake lights are out]

Be glad it's summer.
Yeah yeah, I learned that stuff when I was 16. What I need to know now is where the frig the flasher is hidden under the dash. Anybody?
I found/fixed the problem. The circuit for the turn signals and hazard flashers all go through that hazard switch on top of the column. Somehow, it had goten gunked up and was not making electrical contact. I sprayed contact cleaner around the button and let it soak down, then I operated the switch rapidly about 4 dozen times. Cleared it right up. My turn signals and hazards are back in operation!

I got a problem with my 96 Sable. All but one turn signal works! We checked the bulb, it's fine, the bulb housing is also fine. My brother tells me the flasher is the problem, but where in the blazes is it? I got the car used with no owners manual.
