I cut my fuel line with my jack while I was changing the fuel filter. Now I need to repair it and would like to know the best way to do this without having to replace the whole line. It's the line from the filter to the engine.

1/4" plastic? fuel line between the filter and the engine is cut in two. What else do you need to know?

Year and make of vehicle would be a good start. Engine size wouldn't hurt either. I may not be the one to help you, but info. definately helps someone help you. Since this is in th 1986-2007 forum, this is most likely EFI system. The Fords run at a fair amount of fuel pressure. (at least 35 psi) I'm not sure if they make a splice kit of any kind or not, but it wouldn't be a good idea to try a hose and clamp to fix. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this will chime in soon.

1989 Taurus fuel injected. Tried the hose and clamp deal and it diddn't work.

I would consider a compression fitting splice.

Tried the compression fitting and it works. Too bad I tried it AFTER I bought the non-returnable $215.52 replacement.
